Part Four: New Year, New Goals

Dear readers, I’ve shared a series of new goals for the new year. Here’s goal number four.

4.) I’d like to keep paper off my desk.

I want to file away all hard copies of bills, statements, and documents as quickly as possible. A clear desk is the way to go for a focused mind. Physical clutter creates mental clutter. I’ve already started to receive fewer paper statements in the mail by choosing to receive e-bills. What a great difference this has made.

I have to manage the speed at which I file any and all incoming statements. It does pileup! The key for me is to avoid procrastinating when papers flood in. We know that procrastination is the killer of motivation.

Do you find your desk gets flooded too easily with papers? What do you do to stop the pileup?
