Fashion Trends for Spring 2014

Pretty pastels and impressive patterns made their mark on all the runways of the ready to wear collections for Spring/Summer 2014. Prabal Gurung, Philosophy, Alexander Wang, Chloe and Prada really stand out for me as the designers that create colorful, sexy and comfortable clothes that hang on the body in the most flattering way.

And what about Givenchy and the glitter mask (designed by makeup artist Pat McGrath) that designer Riccardo Tisci sent down the catwalk on his models last fall? Was this a call for spring to be bountiful and opulent? Ooh I hope so.

Fashion is such fun! The body is beautiful and gets to be celebrated when we adorn it with stunning designs that make us feel confident and attractive.

Dsquared2 was certainly feminine and playful, with short mischievous hemlines on their dresses, and classic Capri-length pant suits accessorized by big wide brimmed hats a la Holly Golightly from the ever inimitable fashion style of the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Va voom! Kazam!

Bring it Spring 2014!
