Summer 2014 Fashion Trends
Colors! Prints! Solids! Short length skirts and dresses or long length ones, it seems the sky’s the limit when it comes to fashion trends for this summer. This seems perfectly understandable to me since we had such a long, bleak winter. Even spring hasn’t been all we hoped it would be thus far, so it seems fitting that our summer style this year should be anything and everything that tickles our fancy!
Mulberry sent some great looks down the runway such as a beautiful printed blouse paired with an above the knee leather skirt and chunky heels – yes they’ve come back, much to my dismay! I’m not a fan of the chunky heel. Miu Miu sent dresses with cat prints down the runway, while Alexander McQueen used feathers to accessorize his designs for the catwalk.
Summer 2014 fashion colors run the entire spectrum of the rainbow. Rich reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues and purples. I’m telling you, it’s all in there! As are short skirts and shorts, as well as above the knee lengths as well. And prints! All kinds from floral to tribal to arthouse. Accessories such as scarves, big-rimmed hats, and beautiful bold jewelry featured prominently too. I particularly liked the daring use of bright colors on the eyelids for makeup trends this season.
Go out and be audacious with your summer fashion choices. Whatever you wear, you simply can’t go wrong!
