I’m Not a Clothes-horse

Contrary to popular belief, not all models are obsessed with clothes and parading a dizzying array of different fashion styles 365 days a year. I fall into this category. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a fabulous fashion design that magnificently drapes my form, accentuating my physical assets. But if I had to put together a divine new outfit every morning before leaving the house, I’d melt to the floor and scream Nooooo!

I am happy when I can throw on a pair of jeans and t-shirt, towel dry my just washed hair, put on a pair of boots and head out the door. It’s just so easy and comfortable. Meticulously over-planning my outfit just isn’t my style in the morning. Whose got the time I ask you?! There are too many main events that I need to attend to during my day such as writing my book, working on the various treatments for my TV show, taking meetings, exercising, meditating, eating, you name it. Outfit planning just isn’t at the top of my list.

However, I do love to dress up when the occasion calls for it: an industry event, a friends dinner party, a night out on the town and of course a date:). A woman needs to know how to “clean up” after all. Knowing how to dress up including great hair and makeup looks, are a must. Just because I prefer to go about my day dressed, when possible, as comfortably and simply as I can, doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy dressing up to the hilt when necessary. Fashion is fun, and I greatly appreciate it. After all I’ve made a living in the beauty industry. I just don’t have a gazillion dresses in my closet. It’s never been my style, not even at the height of my supermodel career.
