My Photo Shoot for the American Stroke Association

What a day it was! Last week I spent a splendid day in a Brooklyn studio (with a fine view of the Naval Yard from the roof deck) shooting my campaign for The American Stroke Association (ASA). Ever since I had a stroke (see my previous blog post about it here) I’ve wanted to use my celebrity to help raise public awareness about strokes, specifically that they can happen to anyone at anytime no matter what age.

The very talented photographer, Olivia Owen and I had a blast collaborating on three different looks and creative directions for the shoot. Maggie Francis from the ASA also gave her input, and together with the fantastic makeup artist and hairstylist Alfred J. Lester, and the magnificent crew, we had a terrific shoot. My doctor, the eminent Dr. Brockington even stopped by for some snaps. I wish I could show you some of the pics, but you’ll just have to wait until World Stroke Day on October 29, 2014 to see them! However, I managed to get this one outtake to show you!
