New York Fashion Week Fall 2015

There’ve been so many beautiful collections presented during NYFW since its kick off last Thursday! I’d love to write about all of them, but I’ll focus on two that have particularly dazzled me thus far.

Oscar de la Renta – A wonderful debut collection for the house by creative director Peter Copping. The designs were extremely feminine, chic, colorful and sensuous. Copping kept with the classic look of the house, but added his own personal stamp in a way that blended the two perfectly. I loved the short-short hemline of the cocktail dresses as well as the classic floor length evening gowns. Bravo to Mr. Copping!

Donna Karan – I just loved this collection by the one and only Donna Karan. She infuses her designs with such sophistication, elegance, and power. I always feel that the glamour and the drive of the New York woman play a part in her designs. You always get a clear sense of who the DK woman is whenever her clothes appear on the runway or in the pages of magazines. This collection was sumptuous! I want all the coats and jackets and – I want it all!

I’m excited to see how the week wraps up!
