The Paris Haute Couture shows kicked off last Sunday and I love what I’m seeing thus far – Chanel! Bravo, Karl! Versace! Ditto, Donatella! Seeing the new collections always brings back such amazing memories.

I’m so excited to announce that my book will be released March 15th!! WooHoo! I’ve put my heart and soul into it, and I’m confident that my book will serve as an excellent guide to people of all ages and specifically the tween and teen would-be models out there. 

Here we are two weeks into the New Year and winter is finally showing itself in New York City. Temperatures have dipped from a Christmas day high of 70 degrees to a current 25 degree chill; the wind makes it more like 12 degrees. Brrrrrrr!

I had the most wonderful time this past holiday season with friends and family. I spent the Christmas week in Austin with relatives, and then I was off to Vail to ring in the New Year with friends.

While it is so exciting to get out of town for the holidays and take a little vacation, the one aspect that I can’t stand about the traveling process is packing my suitcase! Hate it! 

What to do when it rains and you have to race around town for appointments all day? How do you keep yourself together: hair, makeup, outfit? What about keeping that cheaply made umbrella you just paid $5 for on a street corner, from not breaking in the zany wind…? 

Is there such a thing as the perfect sweater? I think so. My favorite style is the big, loose cow neck with fitted torso and arms. I also like V neck sweaters whether chunky wool or light cashmere.

To store or not to store, that is the question. Ah storage, that seemingly necessary entity. I spent the better part of today pouring over three bins of photos. Excruciating.

Last week I experienced a particularly colorful Wednesday. The day started off normal enough, but quickly descended downward into a frustrating spiral of unwanted episodes being hurled my way.

Browns, greens, oranges…sumptuous and varied in range, these are just a few of the colors that come alive during the fall season and make me happy since I look good in them all!

I had the most surreal experience walking a New York Fashion Week runway last Thursday after not being on a NY runway in many years…! It was for Tome, and the two designers, Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin are not only talented but they are kind.

I recently enjoyed one of American Institute of Architect’s (AIA’s) boat tours of lower Manhattan that I spontaneously decided to take. Being a tourist in my own city can be fun sometimes, and when family is visiting it’s the perfect time to enjoy the many riches NYC has to offer.

I had the best time on my recent trip to the beautiful island of Nantucket. I spent every summer of my childhood on this heavenly island, lucky me, and I fall in love with it all over again every time I’m able to revisit.

How do you prep for vacation? What’s more important, the shape your body is in, or the clothes that adorn your physique? I say both.

Here we are again! July. Summer. Exposed flesh. What comes up for you when you read those last two words? Joy? Anger? Terror? Most of us will choose the third option. Why?
